Allman Brothers - Whipping Post
The longer I play the more I appreciate classic blues rock stuff like this. What a band, one of the most fun songs I’ve learned.

Great job dude!
Taking a shot at some old nostalgia.
Spiderwebs - No Doubt
This was great @dlamson13 , think I need to learn this, looks like a lot of fun.
Thank you John, but honestly, my singing would not improve the quality of the finished product
That was great, I can see why you enjoyed covering it. It makes all the difference when you can really get into the song.
Well played @Car_J . Gwen Stefani in her prime. Good song this, not one I’ve heard before
That was awesome, Dan! I especially enjoyed the last 2 minutes or so…the bridge looked like it was fun to play and get waaaay up the neck…and the ending bass “solo” was also very cool. Great song choice and very well played!
Nice one, Car_J! Sounded great! Some nice speedwork towards the end before it swings into that reggae beat.
@AndreaJayne thanks, was one song I remember wanting to play long time ago.
@JohnF that was a bit of a tricky part for me.
The Cure - Lullaby (Acoustic Version)
Love this song! Love the acoustic version of this song! Love playing my fretless with a pick, “cos real bassist don’t use a pick and the certain don’t use one a fretless!!” I also love wearing pink, even through pink isn’t a very Cure colour.
to convention!!!
Sire V7 fretless into the Hotone Ampero, then on onto GarageBand.
In Flames - Only for the Weak
Awesome Danny! Very well played!
Nothing wrong with old nostalgia, Car_J! Well done!
Great job Duncan!
Well done Johnnyb!
Oh I’m sure Bob would approve and probably laugh
Nice work! I’ve mentioned it before but I like the way you change the basslines up a bit to make it your touch on the cover.
Dangit, @sunDOG, I am this close to recording a version of Lullaby. Now I’m gonna look like a copy cat!!
Go for it. This isn’t a competition. I was playing it the other day and considered recording it at some point.
Great sound again @sunDOG.
Thought I would ask this question here (for everyone) since you have mentioned the Hotone Ampero. I presume from some thread research that you are using the Hotone Ampero One Amp Modeller and Multi Effects Processor?
Right now I’m going to have a simple home practice setup and planned on getting the SansAmp Bass Driver to plug into my Fender Rumble 100 - and that’s it. That’s all I need.
But now I’m looking up this Hotone Ampero and wondering if I should do that instead?
Thoughts?
Sounds great, Duncan! Nice and clean. Diggin’ the cobweb effects!
Another nice one, Johnny…keep 'em coming!
