Yes, It is a synth bass on Floating Lounge Chair. Our first album (Bolsheviks of Madrid, Resurfaced) was recorded prior to my starting the B2B course. We are working on completing our second album and I’m playing bass (some fretted, some fretless) on many of the tracks.

nice @Tokyo_Rat…liked it…mix wise I think you could pump up the drum levels a bit, I would have even tried a big 80s ‘room snare’ kind of kit to go with your 80s-ish vibe

Thanks I’m only using a drum loop presets from a dr5 so I’m limited, I get pretty much the beat and thats it. But you’re absolutely right the levels could have been higher on what I did have.

New track I have been working on, where I felt I should give it a shot with a little slap. Slap isn’t exactly my forte, and it took a lot of attempts to get the timing right (I was always a hair ahead of the “one”). I also had to simplify the slap/pop part, as my ambition was way ahead of my skills.

Also, the “bass solo” is hopefully going to get replaced by something better down the road when I have the technical ability. For now, it’s cool to create my own spaces for letting me at least try and play a solo :wink:
