You mean glorified Yukon’s in prom dresses?
After filling up with contaminated fuel ( insurance claim ongoing) I bought a really nice Toyota Land Cruiser.
But I’ve had a bit of a mishap this morning going to put the hay trailer on !

This is why you have a tractor
Nearly bogged the tractor too @howard
The ground is like rice pudding
Nice job Mac, @Mac , i think your gunna need a bigger boat

Hope you have a winch on it??
Cheers Brian
Ugh! Might need a good long chain or something then ![]()
I had to help winch a vehicle out of something similar once, was not easy.
No winch @TNKA36 but we’ve got a few guys from a 4wd page in Facebook on their way with winches etc etc.
I’ve been trying to dig it out all day to no avail
Bummer, sorry for your mishap and all, but I LOVE rice Pudding, you can send that stuff this way by the bucketful.

man no kidding, most underrated dessert ever.
There is a Mexican brand rice pudding that comes in cups with pull off sealed foil tops. The whole top layer is cinnamon, and pure rice pudding under it. They are $1 each, and when I go to the store and they are out of them, I really get bummed out.
Sometimes when I am at the store, and they have a full stock, I go a little overboard and buy like 12 of them or so.
I’m out. 5 hours of very skilful winching and digging but now I’ve got a craving for mexican rice pudding
Oh man, so basically like Horchata pudding? awesome. Horchata is one of my favorite things.

I’m liking your thinking @joergkutter and @howard
OOHHH I would love the opportunity to fly the Skycrane. Such a cool helicopter.
Just picked up this project. Runs great and stops. She’ll definitely earn her keep around the property
Hey everybody! Apologies for the absence. Had to press pause on the course as well as the forum on account of life “stuff” – both good and bad. Graduated with my M.A.; gigantic, exhausting project at work; spouse had abdominal surgery; in-laws caught covid & nearly gave it to post-surgery spouse; I became the family nursemaid there for a while. Whew!
I saw the “post your ride/s” thread in “recent” and thought: hey, that’s a nice, low barrier-to-entry return, since I don’t have any bass updates to share (other than getting back on the wagon).
My precious antique baby from my partner’s godmother’s barn, forever and ever:
It’s a Free Spirit Physiofit from the 70s or 80s. When I first dusted it off, it included rotting saddle bags, a semi-functional pedal-powered headlight, and a perfectly functioning FM radio. Quickly did away with the saddle bags and the headlight. Kept the radio running for years, until one day I dropped it on a cement floor and smashed it to smithereens.
Vintage whimsy is gradually giving way to functionality: modern lights, milk crate, replaced pedals, and so on. Chain never comes off, though, gotta love that! And the rear drum/pedal break is THE BEST in wet weather.
Next up, my newer, beefier baby:
It’s an Emmo E-Mini B (https://emmo.ca), just purchased earlier this year with tax return money. The fat tires are great for Canadian weather (and Canadian potholes), battery gets 60-100km on a charge, and it folds! Pedals fold down, body folds in half, handle bars fold down, and seat is quick release. I can’t even fit ONE regular bike in my car, but I can fit TWO folding e-bikes in it.
Speaking of which:
Bought my Nissan Juke new in 2015 and I have my first brake job in a couple of weeks. Other than that, I’ve only replaced a faulty intake valve sensor. No complaints here. I’ve never quite been able to explain what I love so much about the body style, and then a friend of mine put his finger on it: lunar rover! It does have a kind of space buggy look, eh? I intend to drive it into the ground because a) who wants to buy a car in the age of supply chain upheaval, and b) it’ll probably be my last stick shift, considering the ascent of electric vehicles.
I enjoyed the jokes upthread about riding brooms, so y’all might enjoy the decal on my rear window:
Cheers!
trials riding is such a cool sport, it never gets popular but it never goes away either. plus you get crazy bikes like scorpa and gas-gas
