I used the stewmac fret puller kit, it was very easy plus it was on a cheap Squier so pulling with heat and special pliers was really easy. No damage. I don’t know if I’d have the same at ease feeling pulling frets from my MusicMan or usa Fender, lol
Not quite finished yet, still waiting on the Les Claypool gold EMG pickups, but all the rest of the bits are done. Thanks to @Al1885 for the inspiration.
I have to say the red/gold thing looks much better in person than I thought, really love it actually. It was a toss up between this and a white/black tuxedo theme, glad i went out of the box a little. Will post when the pickups get installed.
Hipshot tuners (finally)
Ray Ross bridge (very unique)
Optima 24K gold strings (very bright)
Gold screws, strap locks, string retainer, knobs, neck plate added as well.
No red/gold doesn’t just look good in person. It looks good period. Nice!!
I am totally digging it.
Man those strings and on that bridge….riiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggggggg.
Will give me a way to work on my muting!
Can’t wait for the pickups to get here.
One word, Seinfeld. I’ve been playing it like crazy. Pretty one dimension but boy it delivers.
Oh, you have a synthesizer keyboard?
Lol
This one. I’m half way through the solo. It’s not as easy as I thought, lol.

Hard to believe it’s the same guitar.
Looks fab!
The strings set off the hardware perfectly.
It’s turning out great.
That looks great Mac!
That looks great, is that a gun oil finished? That’s awesome.
That looks incredible!
Honestly. I don’t like that Gibson style of bass but what you did makes me want one! Gibson should pay attention
Oil over stain, there is a reason why it’s a classic finish and you showed exactly why.
Love it.
Turned out fantastic. Well done!
