The wood grain on the Joe Dart looks a lot nicer to me, I guess that is a different kind of wood used? Despite that I still think they look very similar and great!

This is an MM I would actually like to own.

That is gorgeous @Al1885, looking for houses for sale in your neighborhood.

Absolutely, the replica looks like a 5 piece body to me, lol.

I’m gonna spend a bit more time on the body to get the right feel. I don’t know if there’s a transparent fill I can use. This is on a porous side. It doesn’t have any shine at all.

Thanks @Mac it was a fun one. I was rushing it a bit I didn’t really wait for the oil rub to cure. That takes a few weeks I just applied and wait overnight then wet sanded it.

Thanks @Growl got a new one coming. This is what it supposed to be.

Thanks Toby. Now I’m on a hunt for more SB4. This is almost the same body as the Cutlass.

Thanks @JerryP. May be tomorrow I’ll drill through the bridge and install the mute kit.

that’s a great job @Al1885 , all of this seems very legit to me  it’s hard to hide completely the filled pot holes but that’s not important to me, even a small little detail to remember where this bass comes from.

Great Job @Al1885! I’ll be ordering one from you!

I love how it turned out @Al1885 there’s something special about natural color

TThe Moolah Bass is 99% ready. Terry spent 3 hours working on the neck cavity and the pickups. The one change he had me make was to remove the bridge platform he had me add because he was convinced that the strings would be too low. Once he got the neck shimmed and the pups lined up the opposite was true. This morning I removed the platform but it was too low so i added a piece of pickguard abd it worked. He’s going to set it up on Saturday but there r a few things that need tidying up like the carbon fiber. But can anyone spot something missing? Remember its a J bass.

Yeah the filled holes got darker rings when I sand it. On the next one I’m gonna try to get a really tight fit to minimize the glue line.

Love the Black and blue like how I like my steak, lol. Heat Gun would smooth out all of the wrinkles.

Thanks @RuknRole. I just finish the electronics. Lots of wires for a single knob, lol.

Heres the next project, the Taxibacker! Im going to paint it Fender Yellow (paint should be here tomorrow) and the pickguard will be checkerboard but it looks like the seller generated the shipping label and never took it to the post office so I’ll have to reorder it once i get a refund on the 25th. Since its a kit I’m going to change out the strings. One thing that bothers me about the instructions is that they say to glue the neck into place. I don’t want to do that. If something ever happened to the neck it would be a pain in the neck (pun intended) to replace. So I’ll get a plate for it instead.

The heat gun has been my best friend on this project  btw that pickguard is a multi colored prismatic carbon fiber

Even better I love multi color

I figured that if the body was going to be carbon fiber that as a contrast the pickguard should be as well, but multi colored
