SAG - Selling Aquired Gear

Mixed emotions. Sad but happy for you?

Happy! This is making way for a bucket list bass, and no reason to hold the 550 as the 800MF completely replaces it.

This may not be my only gear buy this year either

That was fast! Market is quite a bit slower here (or, at least, was last time I had something to sell).

Might have to let the Harley-Benton JJ-5OP go (fun bass though and almost not worth the hassle of selling). And/or the TRB!?!?! And/or the Sandberg!?!? Ugh :grimacing:

Plus the Alesis multipad and a couple of pedals… I am just so bad at letting go

Now, this is some not-so-subtle foreshadowing :joy:

It had been slow for me too. Can’t sell anything right now. So far I only attract people that want to have meaningless conversations about the item that I sell.

Not exactly a bass, but still a Fender . I sold this one today. Way too sunburst for me.

You know that’s a really nice burst but yeah. I’d have never played it. I am so predictable.

In fact that was almost exactly my thinking on my BB734A. “Well, it IS a really nice burst.” RIP

@terb Did you mod that Telecaster or did it come like that?

It’s 100% stock. It’s a relatively rare Cabronita, which means that the pickups are similar to the Gretsch Filtertron. Excellent pickups, really. I love the Cabronita’s.

If I sold this one, it’s because I have another one : a black Squier Vintage Modified series, with the exact same pickups (Fender Fidelitron). I much prefer the Squier look-wise (even if black is not my favorite color, it’s still much more acceptable than sunburst to me), and the neck on the Squier is even better than the Fender one. Overall it might seem strange that I decided to keep the Squier over the Fender, but yeah, in this case I definitly prefer the Squier.

And also, selling the Fender has been a way to sell a hard case too, which is good for me because I have way too much and it takes a lot of space.

For those who might be interested, I happen to record a little something with the sunburst Fender Cabronita, about 6 years ago. It’s just some noodling on the neck pickup, to demo a '70s Traynor spring reverb unit that I modified for a friend, at the time. This reverb was a studio one, not compatible with a guitar level and impedance, so I integrated a little preamp (FET, class A) that I designed and built from scratch, to allow my friend to play with this reverb like a normal guitar effect. It’s still a main part of his rig. Great reverb, I must say.

If anyone needs these I am still selling these two plugins. I pay the transfer fees.

Arturia Pigments 4 (excellent, easy to use, visually stunning synthesizer), $70USD

Valhalla Room (one of the best reverbs), $30USD

Valhalla Room is sold

Pigments is awesome, if anyone wants a synth I cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s also gorgeous to look at. The only reason I am selling it is I am so deep in to Phase Plant now for a modern synth. (And obviously V Collection for Vintage). If I didn’t have the KiloHearts Everything package I would be main-synthing Pigments.

I second this. Pigments is awesome

I’m thinking about selling my '84 Korg Poly 800 synth. But first, I have to fix it … it should be finished tomorrow hopefully.

Also I sold my Pod X3 Pro (but I kept the X3 Bean).

Ooh. Cool synth. Similar to a Polysix?

Based on the KVR prices I decided to reduce the price. If anyone needs a synth this is a great one:

Arturia Pigments 4, $50USD for license transfer.

Just sold my electric guitar on Reverb. I got what i was asking for, all good. The buyer pays for USED guitar and I get confirmation of payment.

I was confused as the figure was higher than the total I asked for. So looking at the breakdown; Reverb now collects tax on behalf of the Canadian government on a USED guitar. They’ve already had the tax once but now they get another slice of the pie FFS.

This poor guy paid 14.98% tax on the list price.
