Hey Paul … ben je Nederlander?
Yep! @Mike_NL ook
Cool! En @qenden ook!
Binnenkort zijn we hier de meerderheid
Best bet for face to face is FB Marketplace or Craigslist. You could also use Reverb for more exposure but list “for local pickup only” to avoid shipping. I tend to be much the same and prefer local sales when at all possible.
Just resign yourself to it taking longer and having to deal with lowballers, less than serious “tire kickers”, and a few scammers that are easy enough to blow off my simply putting “Cash Only” in your listings. Legit buyers already know cash is king for local sales. Scammers will always want to use Zelle or Venmo.
Thanks all! I was thinking marketplace! I’m in no hurry, I can sit on them! I might pick up a Ouija Board and go for it!
Hey, anyone local need a Fender bass hard case?
https://reverb.com/item/83603038-fender-bass-guitar-hard-case
I’ve got it listed on Reverb, but the shipping is really expensive. If someone wants it local, I’ll cut you a great deal. I really want to clear this case out of my space.
Hey Dave, I noticed you’re selling the FEA compressor too. What did you replace it with?
I’ve accumulated that old paint job TLC special you had posted about, the empress and then even the SGT has a single dial compressor on it. For as much as I’m interested in they all do the job fine, even the SGT dial.
I do really like putting EQ in the side chain. It seems just easier to think about what I want EQ to affect that way and the FEA is just silent. The optical response makes it gentle and musical. But it’s wide and I have three other lesser things that do the job OK. For someone who wants the finer things, it’s a true gem. And no more will be built.
This is one of those exciting/frustrating/expensive things about gear. You just don’t know until you’ve tried it. Then, how much have you really learned until you have the time/setup to compare for yourself.
The TLC is not the most exciting piece of gear but it does the clean compressor thing well. Makes me want a Diamond Comp/EQ and a Cali 76 just to play with and see what I hear.
The good thing about buying quality gear is that it holds its value. With inflation or discontinuations, I’ve been able to own amps and pedals for very low rent, almost for free.
I have actually turned a profit a few times
According to what I told my wife, my entire collections are from the profits of my basses,

Ft. Collins, eh? Really didn’t want to buy a new bass so soon after my Reverend. I’ve been interested in G&L’s for awhile but I haven’t had a chance to sit down with one to see how they feel. I may have to pop over to the shop in Broomfield this weekend and see if I can get my hands on one. I love the color of that one.
You’re never getting the BB, are you?
She’ll get here. I am starting to worry though that I’m going to get my hands on it and not like it as much as my Reverend. Not gonna lie, it is causing a little hesitance. Of all the things to worry about though, I mean… darn I had my heart set on this thing and this other thing was even more awesome than I thought the one thing was going to be is not a bad problem.
