SAG - Selling Aquired Gear

I had an old, old friend die of overdose a few years ago. Some of that friend group that still lives in our hometown made him a small (1.5 - 2 meter) dragon boat, launched it into the Chesapeake bay lighting it on fire. It was a pretty cool memorial.

Hey all! I am relatively new here and have done quite a bit of lurking. I have started the Beginner to Badass course and am taking my time and loving it! I am a self taught guitarist who has fallen in love with all things bass. I bought a entry Broadbass due to my love of Peter Hook and I adore it. I am fortunate to have a cottage that we spend time at and I am now thinking about getting another bass so i can have one in each location.

I have several guitars and one I am willing to part with, an epiphone les paul special 2. I am looking to trade it for a similar valued Bass. Is anyone on here in the Toronto area looking for something like that? Know anyone who is? I’ve tried the usual places and can’t deal with all that comes with said places!

Thanks for reading and if posting this here was out of line (i mean a guitar in a bass thread?!?) i will gladly take my slaps and delete the post! THANKS!

No. You’re all good.

I will warn you, not much selling happens on this thread. Sometimes, but not a lot.

Anyone (US based) interested in a veeeeery lightly used Spark Go? Figured I’d check here before posting it on eBay or something.

For those local to me or having a bassist friend local to me (Colorado Front Range from Cheyenne, WY to CO Springs, CO) in Ft Collins an hour north of Denver.

Sire U5 w/padded Fender gig bag. Less than one year old in mint condition. It’s by far the best short scale bass I’ve ever played. I got it for a specific purpose that no longer exists so I’ve decided to sell it and replace it with a fretless instead.

List Price; $595. Asking; $475 no sales tax or shipping.

@BozzerWolf ?

Hello my friends,

I’m selling a new Presonus Quantum ES2 audio interface.
It’s not even unpacked (in fact it’s still on its way to me).

I just need the included Presonus Studio 7, so this is what you don’t get. Most BassBuzzer use Reaper or Logic anyway, so that’s no issue.

It has a two year warranty, and again: brand new.

Price: 120€ + shipping

I have the ā€œlargerā€ Presonus Quantum ES4 and could not be happier: excellent audio quality, virtually no latency … and the best UI I have seen up to now (everything can be controlled via software).

Reviews (German):

I am based in Germany and am reluctant to send to non-EU countries…

I’ve got PreSonus but am living outside the EU so good luck to you mate

Thanks - selling should be easy, especially for the price.

For a short moment I thought about replacing my beloved Zoom AM-24 with the ES2.
The ES2 might be objectively better, but my Zoom is being thrown around, survived heavy rain, has been dipped in dirt or mud and generally being abused in every way imaginable when playing in the park.
And it still looks good and works well. Also it’s small and light.

The ES2 is not made for such purposes…

You realize you could have bought Studio One without buying the interface, right?

And you also realize that some companies will void bundled licenses on hardware transfer so the new hardware owner gets them, right?

Yeah! But this way it’s cheaper. I’m just a poor Dutch guy

According to Presonus my approach will work!

I’ve sold so many GAS purchases recently. I just need to stop buying stuff!
I sold a few items earlier in the year that I can’t even remember what they were, such was their impact on my life lol
BOSS looper, drum pedal. Ibanez WH10? wah pedal, both sold virtually unused except for testing
BOSS SY1 - used on maybe 2 songs, but I can’t make it sound any different despite knob twiddling. So I bought a
Novation MiniNova - used more than the BOSS thing, but still selling it now as I have a Roland GO: Keys instead.

Hi @AndreaJayne - it’s what GAS is all about my friend. Embrace the GAS:) But all kidding aside- it’s good to go into austerity mode once in a while. I ā€œhearā€ it will help me to appreciate things more. I get it tho- ā€œOh, I’ll buy this nice Fender P and never need another bass-ā€ sees Dingwall, buys - wash, rinse, repeat… And I play keys too- so double GAS- ing all the time. Enjoy your hobbies though my friend. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Very true. I’ve stopped buying pedals, I have what I need now. Now I’ve got the Roland GO, I should be satisfied on the keyboard front now too.
And I have ā€˜enough’ basses too, before you ask!
