Should be fun. Thanks to @Barney for the introduction!
I’m thinking that’s going to be fun @AZBob

AC/DC JUST ANNOUNCED NORTH AMERICAN TOUR YESTERDAY!!! WOO WHOOO!!!
EXCITED TO GO SEE THEM IN TAMPA MAY 2025

Meshuggah and Cannibal Corpse just announced for Tampa on April 19th! Tickets on sale Thursday! I’ll see Disturbed April 18th in Sunrise then on to Tampa!
The old guys definitely can still do it!!
They would not have been on my bingo card to be touring or even alive in 2024
I went with my son to see Iron Maiden a few months ago and they advertised Judas Priest on 12 Dec…tickets are in hand, looking forward to good show
Technically not a plan because it’s in the past but I saw The Dandy Warhols in SF on Saturday night and the show was everything I wanted it to be.
They didn’t talk to the audience for the first half of the show… just walked on stage and started playing. Incidentally this is exactly how I listen to their music (usually over hours on shuffle) and felt right. The personality came out in spades in the second half of the show with plenty of conversation with the audience. UnfortunateIy I failed to capture Zia McCabe’s bass face (she primarily plays keyboards).
(The rest of the family was performing in a Santa Lucia choir twice and then my youngest had his first dance recital so it was a case of buying the ticket to make sure I didn’t decide I was too tired the day of. I decided that after being a fan for 25+ years I should probably make it happen. Also the solo motorcycle ride into SF from the east bay was phenomenal!)
Going to a show alone is it’s own thing and I was confident I would see someone I knew there (I did) but it was not who I expected at all (fellow parents from my kid’s school celebrating a 50th birthday).
At a house concert deep in the heart of old Austin. Happening in a comfy old house converted into an intimate live performance venue.
neat!
Really fine concert tonight. The acoustics were not to be believed. Every note, every nuance from the guitar and bass were full on and present. And the audience was so attentive and respectful of the players that there was dead silence between passages as the music breathed. This unique space was designed for intimate playing and listening. And it delivered on both counts.
Victor Wooten and the Wooten Brothers are touring in 2025.
I got tickets to see them in April. Looks like they’re just doing small venues and ticket prices are very reasonable.
Saw them at a community college in the greater Chicago area, November 2023… amazing show. Tickets were fairly inexpensive, small venue, great sound, fantastic performance. You’ll have fun.
I just snagged Vulfpeck tickets for September at MSG! Stoke levels very high rn.
Tesla Friday night and On Saturday, Nile, Six Feet Under, Psycroptic and Embryonic Autopsy.
They’re still going strong, 45 years later! I played their first LP a LOT!
I’m really looking forward to it. I’m taking my fifteen year old son, who will be almost sixteen by then, and who likes them as well!
