I have absolutely nothing against her as an artist or a person, but NFW an I shelling out over a grand to see her (or any other band) live.

Not upcoming but one I missed back in 2019. I really wish they had kept up with this post-pandemic.

I love that for their last show they opened for themselves.

This is a Spinal Tap-like side project of Gacharic Spin (who are much more electronic rock/pop/alt-metal), where they all adopt alter-egos and headbang… and then fricking rock out harder than most actual metal bands

Their bass player is one of the best I know of, super famous. F-Chopper Koga. They are all top tier musicians.

Both she and their guitarist have signature instruments, I think actually with multiple companies. The guitarist is top tier too, famous here.

I’m hoping to catch Baroness later this month. Never seen them before and only heard about them 2-3 years ago.

My father in law got us tickets to see Victor Wooten on the 10th. We’re both fairly excited (understatement). Anyone else got any fun upcoming shows their attending?

I’m seeing him on Saturday (7th).
Is Rebirth opening for him at your show too?
They are amazing!

Yes indeed! I am not familiar with them, so going in blind for the surprise of it. Haven’t been to any kind of concert since before the pandemic, so this will be a great outing.

For my birthday, my wife got me/us tickets for the Dutch Double Bass Festival, which is Friday and Saturday next week. It’s not just double bass, but bass guitar players as well:

I’m not that familiar with any of them, so recommendations are appreciated. Either way, it’s going to be fun!

You are not familiar with Dirty Loops??? Henrik Linder is an absolute beast on the bass, and the rest of the band isn’t shabby either

And Adam Ben Ezra is also pretty cool (in a different way):

The others I don’t know so much

PS: I’d probably check out Teun Creemers…

Well, I have obviously already checked out some videos of the performing artists, but I had never heard of them before, no. They are definitely one of the acts I’m going to watch when I’m there!

There also seems to be a Q&A or workshop with Henrik Linder on the second day!!

He might be playing his true temperament bass - don’t look at the frets too long

Have fun!!

Awolnation is opening for 311 tonight. I am pretty excited. I usually only see 311 at amphitheaters, but tonight will be in a small indoor venue.

Is anyone attending any of the Geddy Lee - My Effin Life tour? He’s touring in an interview format talking about his effin life and all of it.
I wanted to go to the Montreal show but alas I cannot.
