I’m modding it too but I’m using the Strat pickup. Active EMG SA, Keeping the original idea. It has a bit of a hum but not bad at all.

I had one of those very briefly. Those little guys need better tuners, pups and bridge, for sure.
Your upgrades look great. You have just about doubled your cash investment in that baby.

Reminds me of a joke:
A guy visits his buddy, and the buddy says, “Hey, let me show my latest treasure!”

I just finished my mod. Turns out I have some parts lying around so I just put them together. A few of you know how much I hate Hipshot “the company” but I have 6 sets of their tuners and I love the ultra lite lollipop tuner. I have 2 extra RayRoss bridges so might as well use it.
The Active EMG SA pickup is really cool, very quiet and punchy and clean, combining with the RayRoss it’s very cool tone. this could be the ultimate slapper.

honestly - the stock strat pup is not my favorite bass tone and the one thing I would change on the Bronco (which otherwise are cool!)
The EMG at least should improve it a lot. I would want to just drop in a P myself.

I have two Fralin strat pups on my Offbeat and no complaints on the tone, but if I were to put a P in it would be a straight (51 style) P though probably a noiseless one.

It’s pretty cool very punchy. I’m loving it so far.
While you can drop in a 51 style bass pickup but this kind of bass like the MusicMaster is just the single oil strat pickup style bass so I, sticking with that theme.
