I learned a while ago, and even as a half blind old guy with shakey hands I do ok. it’s actually easy, just need to practice a little. and very useful.
oh also you can get relatively cheap and fun soldering practice kits on Amazon
Something I’ve noticed about the 51p pickups, is a variation in size between manufacturers. Even on a 51p you might need a little work, even on the body, to get a good fit
Good choice
I just watched this video on upgrading a bronco, and this is the wiring harness they used
@Wombat-metal , @TheMaartian - @krescht wants to be beaten up
Rumor of their death is exaggerated. More so for the mustang.
Click bait title, of course
that came out a while ago and Scott has apologized a bunch for the part at the beginning. he meant it as a joke but it didn’t quite come out that way for a lot of people.
Yes, sense of humour may vary widely
Fair enough you don’t want to upset the Ewoks.
Thanks! Ive seen that video too. I felt like that bass came out great. I may end up getting one of those wiring harnesses if I can’t get this soldering thing down…
It’s here
So it begins.
A quick check is the frets are a bit sprouty and could use a little polishing, but that will be next weekend at the earliest as fret sprout on a new bass in my experience can heal itself after the neck acclimates for a period.
Strongly recommend fixing it while sprouting because that way it will never sprout again -use this opportunity:)
good thought
pretty looking 30" headless
Went to Guitar Center yesterday. Messed around playing a squier mini p (not debut series). I really liked it. I mean, the sound was just ok, but I’m sure I’d replace the pups anyway. The neck is probably the same as the bronco except a laurel fret board which I like better than the maple. 200 dollars. Probably will be my next shorty. I guess I’m a sucker for these cheap guitars to mod.
it’s fun! somewhere above I have the deets on my modded mikro, it’s also a good candidate.
