I love Meyersound I have a pair of HD1 monitors.
I know what you mean. Their former director of marketing is the mother of my daughter. We had the best wedding PA rig.
My puppy played with the paper ring on each of the speaker. I contacted them about 12 years ago and it cost then, about $1800 to fix with included shipping. I thought about it, this is a reference monitor which doesn’t sound great anyway you have to make it sound good so it’s the extra incentive for me so I kept it as is. We mixed a couple of album with this monitors, great result.
Highly recommend anyone to go to town with a pair of $10K monitors to make it yield better result,
that’s sick
whaaaaat

It’s a name that you’ve seen at the movie theater more often than any other.
o…k…
just one more but that alien green glowing tube is a rare and somewhat dangerous mercury vapour tube. crazy.
These are fabulous!
This is my first ever bass & amp rig set up. Still all stock, the SR300EB has the D’Addario 165 EXL nickel wound strings which for now I am sticking with as I can manipulate multiple tones via the bass & amp. Hence, I have not looked into any pedals, strings, etc, yet. Being new to a stringed intrument and much to learn I am just gonna learn for now. The Cliff Burton Morley Wah pedal may be the first I get though in time, Cliff being one of my many inspirations to pick up the bass besides Lemmy, Harris, Lee, Butler, Wooten, etc. This Katana 110 suits me as a beginner as I can explore so many tone options without having to aquire quality pedals (good ones are not cheap) and or other devices. Already has 9 pre set effects and many more can be patched over via Boss Tune Studios as per ones liking. Theres one in the amp that sounds like the laser guns from Star Wars, dephinately not for me, thats the first to go, the other 8 are pretty good. In all, I love the sounds from both the bass & amp. Purchased new and no issues thus far except when tuning I had to play around to tune the A string and make a post here which many helped me along with, I think this was from the electric Snark tuner I was using. I heard Josh say they are junk and am quite agreeing with that a bit and looking at music stores around me for the Korg TM 60 (pretty sure thats the model #?). I have played a Trumpet and other brass instruments for years so I have a ear for the music and these two are pretty dam great together and I have read and watched a few videos of people on YouTube put these Katanas down. I think they need their hearing checked. Maybe it’s because the amp didnt cost a $1,000.00? I’ve noticed some people are conditioned somehow to hag on thing’s that are not pricey. Todays technology allows for quality in some thing’s and not putting a dent in your pocket to pick up. This amp is one of them along with the Ibanez SR300E’s. I do not regret my purchase one bit. Learning quite a bit with it. As soon as I get a better hang of what is here on Bass⚡️Buzz I will be signing up for the courses. Now, its learning the cord notes amd familiarizing myself with the amp.
What’s the 1 watt switch for? Quiet practice?
Yes. Which is cool. My neighbor is about 30 feet away, I rent a house at the moment so I rarely use it but still, cool to have in case.
I have the same amp. If you sign up on Roland’s web page they have amp settings you can download.
I down loaded the Apps. I have not used them entirely yet. Still getting the hang of the amp as is along with what the Ibanez SR300E can produce. Also, just learning the notes on the fret board. I am new to this. I got everything around October 'ish last year and have only started applying myself around mid January of this year. I have listened to them though. A whole lot of effects & features to be had. Where I purchased the bass & amp, the crew there walked me through a lot knowing I was new to a bass and amps. They had a lot of used amps, pedals, not so much any guitar types, i.e. bass, guitar as most all the instruments were all new except 2 drum sets and a few acoustic guitars and it was a big store and they owned 4 other stores, a family owned business. I chose the Katana because when I asked if I would at least need a distortion for the bass, one of the guys said no need for that with the Katana, already built in and basically 9 other effects and many more can be interchanged via Boss Tone Studio. Knowing I played a trumpet for 30+ years and quality of sound mattered to me, he then pointed out that good pedals, effects run about $200.00 per pedal and the Katana already had 9 pre installed effects and over 90 more to be had on the Boss Tone Studio App, Katana Man, Katana Library and more that I could patch over. I was sold. I figured both the Ibanez & Katana I can easily find the tones I love and have already done so with just what was already factory-installed. No desire to to resell either as I read and hear how mnay resell equipment. From just playing the notes on this Ibanez and getting aquainted with bass guitar notes and where they are and the sounds I hear and what this amp can do, I’m keeping them. The Katana Library, i have yet to fully go through that list of effects. So, so many from rock, metal, blues, jazz, funk etc. And then theres packs from musicians they created. Its a lot. Its an amazing amp.
I’m a brand new bass player and I was gifted a Roland cube 20XL. No idea what half the knobs do or if it’s a good amp but it makes noises
When my wife got her new MacBook I took her old one and cleaned out the software and reloaded it. Now I just use the old MacBook for interfacing with the Katana using Boss Tone Studio. Now I have a dedicated computer to load tones and save settings for later. I am like you I like the versatility of the unit. Now you need to get the ga-fc foot controller and the volume pedal and your rig is complete. Well there is the bluetooth adaptor for the rear panel also.
