I’ve only been on here for a week. I just ordered this Yamaha from Sweetwater on Saturday. The lessons are really motivational. I almost ordered an Ibanez but this seemed to match it if not surpass it and it was 800 dollars less.

You won’t regret it, I have the same in the dark red burst and I absolutely adore it. Depending on your music/tone preferences you might want some heavier gauge strings than it comes with but I’m a metal head

I received my Mayones custom build on Friday, with P and MM (split 3 ways) pickups, plus a whole lot more features built in.
I’ve spent the weekend exploring its crazy-many inherent tone combinations, straight out of the box. I don’t know which brand of strings it has on it, but they feel rougher to me than the silky, almost flats-feeling-smooth of the TI Jazz Rounds I’m used to on my other basses. But that’s OK because I have a fresh set of TI Jazz Rounds strings ready to slap on this bad boy. More to come.
