@MikeC
I did read your reply to me. This was my inept reply:
I do understand what he meant by cover now, I had heard of ‘cover bands’ before and should have made the connection.
Thanks to everyone for your explanations. @Whying_Dutchman, you be waiting a long while for me doing a cover (at least on a video).
I do understand that very well! People have nagged me about posting my cover - and still do!
And that’s great. The first cover you publish will feel like a defining and very satisfying accomplishment…
Errrr, no. Nothing against my first girlfriend, she was wonderful, but it was a long time ago and there is an awful lot of living between then and now. Besides, I prefer to live in my now, not my yesterdays…
Yesterday is gone, yesterday’s alright
Yesterday belongs in my dreams at night
Yesterday is swell, yesterday is great
Yesterday is strong, remembering can wait
Good to know. I saw the picture of your family and it will never feel lonely.
Mine is now in my room over by my bed, restrained in a guitar stand. It is rather intimidating, I feel like it’s staring at me saying “I’m your huckleberry”. I may need to turn it around to face the wall.
Do you have a case for yours? Mine came in an inexpensive gig bag. I know the case made for it is a Gretsch G6297 but I would like one that did not have GRETSCH in big letters covering half of it. I could not find the dimensions for the bass, in fact there is no mention of it on the Gretsch website ( almost like it was the black sheep of the family nobody talked about). Anyway I am curious what case (if any) you have for yours.
Thanks
Made my first order through Sweetwater for a new Player II P bass. Can’t wait to get it in the practice room! Should be here Friday and I’ll open it Sunday.
No I don’t.
There’s no mention as it was a special one-time holiday release at GC and is the exact same bass as the G5422 regular production model less some cosmetics differences so its case is the one you need.
That said it looks like it is discontinued as well as the case for it so not sure what would fit at this point.
