So, y’all know a couple of months back, I bought a 2016 NOS Fender Geddy Lee signature Jazz bass. Because it was NOS, I was really worried about dinging it up, so I also bought a standard Player Jazz Bass.
Well, at my lesson yesterday, I notice that GC had a 2013 NOS Fender “special run” Deluxe Precision Bass Special that was the p-bass twin to my Geddy j-bass. I slept on it overnight and was waiting at GC this morning when the doors opened to work some trades and bring that bad boy home. Here it is, along with its Geddy Lee j-bass twin:
It’s the same, exact “modern ‘C’” thin neck that the Geddy Jazz has, the same fretboard and inlays, the same sunburst, same bridge (although it says “FENDER” instead of Geddy’s signature).
