Here is the back
Pickups are tall due to the extra neck angle (this makes for a good thumbrest apparently)…the action feels normal along the neck (it doesn’t feel ‘high’ when playing on my picking hand or anything either)

Yes if all goes to plan, I am working on a cover now that I will record when I have it down…I didn’t select any special song to ‘showcase the bass’ or anything (and I will use my pedals on the recording) but it should still give an idea of the tone of it in the mix hopefully

I have started last night. The Bass and Amp have been safely tucked in a nice center closet for a couple years to keep the Bass from temperature changes. I need to make room in the living room for the Amp.

I thought a second bass would be wise now that I’ve joined a band. I already owned an active Fender Modern Jazz MIJ so i thought a good old P Bass would be the logical choice. One of the local shops had a Player 2 Aquatone Blue model in stock. I played it, I bought it, I love it.
I know it’s just a P but I think it’s lovely. I was worried about the broader neck as it had been years since I picked up a knockoff P bass but I’m getting on very well with it!

Agree with the others, that’s a great look. Really similar to the P I used to have. Another great example of my favorite Fender look, maple fretboard/white pickguard/pastel-colored body.

Been playing a while, been wanting a J bass, had some cash, and ran into this used for a good price at Guitar Center. It needs a setup badly but is in great shape. Going to get it all taken care of today!

I almost bought this one (is it the dark knight edition ? the one I had in hands was much darker) but couldn’t justify the price for my level

It is the Dark Night finish! Imho the best finish Fender does. I cannot believe the deal they gave me on this one.
The lighting makes a big difference in how this finish appears, in reality it looks much darker, I had the light hitting it here for the photo.

New Gear Day - Sire V5 in Champagne Gold Metallic and a Boss GX-10. I actually had a GX-10 when they first came out but I returned it to try something else, regretted it, and picked another one up to keep for good.
