@booker_t Congratulations!

That’s a really nice new pair of basses you have there!

Wow… are you an endorsed artist with Fodera since you already have one of these, a few days after its release?? Very, very cool!

It’s what I am trying to do, but it’s kinda hard to sell basses at the moment… not sure why…

I got lucky. Monday, when I received the new model email from Fodera I immediately called Sweetwater. My rep was totally unaware of the model. I reserved it, and got the arrival call Thursday morning and received it Friday morning. Fodera has the first 2 (perhaps for the videos) and Sweetwater received one bass, the first to dealer. I ended up with # 3 (VWS003).

We’ll stay silent on the thing that everyone knows. I only keep basses that resonate with me, so I never have the intention of selling the ones I’ve kept. I wasn’t looking to add to the number of basses that I have; and, quite frankly, I could not have responsibly afforded the two new ones without the two going out. To your unsaid point, things have tightened up here. Absent a beneficial both ways sale to a neighbor, I would have had to venture into the woes of the marketplace, or walk Hollywood Blvd. in my jean shorts.

:joy:

Really want that new quad cortex mini. I’ve considered walking Colfax… but it’s -4 (freedom degrees for all of you using metric) outide, so thats a lot of shrinkage.

@faydout I put that line in and then took it out, because I knew where it might take the thread. Came back and edited it back in as necessary, but praying for the threads health. Stay warm, brother.

Happy to immediately jump on that and keep that gem here for everyone to enjoy

Very cool - congrats!!

Yeah, I wasn’t going to go there, but yes that is probably a reason. People are cautious about how things are developing, and buying (expensive) used basses isn’t on top of their to-do lists

Yep, the stars aligned for @booker_t.

Right time, right place (living next door to a willing/ready neighbor), right basses.

All that, plus being quick on the Sweetwater trigger on that sweet, sweet Fodera. :water_pistol:

You pulled off a hat trick, brother. Huge congrats, all around.

Too cold for Jean shorts here as well.

But no surprise that after a few days of playing the Baum Wingman is a keeper.

Selling the Schecter Session T, nice bass. But I’m good with these two (for now until maybe a Stingray?).

Shorts are always appropriate.

Okay. My teacher thought that I needed more instruments so sent me home with this one

No since now I have more questions since I have no idea what I’m looking for on half of the images but yes, I see them

Did you pick out the specific basses and guitars pics I posted?

This one is the one I feel silly not finding since I can’t see any one with a “bow bridge”. I will try my search engin skills when it’s not 2330

Ok got it. Here’s my upright. Not the typical bridge.

What happened to the white Jazz (you built?), @Barney?

And the Dingwall?

Finally succumbed to the urge for a Fender Flea Jazz bass. The new Flea and then with his siblings together.

  • First Bass Purchase: mid-range Fender P (so I’ll never need to upgrade:)

  • Second Bass Purchase: Dingwall JTS (now I REALLY have all I need:)

  • Third Bass: third time is a charm- the road-worn Flea I always wanted- that is IT for sure:)
