You said the magic word!

For some unknown reason I missed that thread / or forgot about it ![]()
Coulda just left it at Welsh. ![]()
I’m Welsh. When I joined the military, I went out for a curry with my squad.
I asked for half chips / half rice in the restaurant. Everyone looked at me like I had two heads.
Apparently it’s not a ‘thing’ outside of Wales ![]()
Never too late to slather on some sumpin-sumpin on your fave food.
Yep, that’s why I did the winky face. My family is Irish and Welsh.
Mine’s Irish / Scottish, as legend has it.
Curry on chips actually sounds awesome
He’s racially discriminating against me ![]()
It’s still only a thing here. Well, ‘there’, I’ve been called away on a job so not in Wales right now.
In our favourite curry shop, it’s not unusual to hear someone “I’ll ‘ave ‘alf ‘n’ alf, see butt”
2 basses out and 2 in. My walnut Fodera and Fender American Pro P went to a good friend. He’s thrilled and it helped me to obtain 2 of my wish list basses.
I’m very grateful and happy with my blue FGN Mighty Power that I got from @Wombat-metal. It will forever be in my collection and is made even more awesome with the Fender Pure Vintage '63’s that he equipped it with. I still couldn’t pass on this opportunity to get this gunmetal color (gray/silver being my favorite colors) which I had initially sought when looking for the Mighty Power. The mint condition and, like the blue one, the incredibly dark fretboard made it even more attractive. Smears on the pick guard are from plastic still being affixed. This one will be kept with the stock Seymour Duncans. The tones, comfort, and playability on both are incredible.
The "83 Victor Wooten Standard was released on Monday and is a new addition to the standard line (with the swamp ash and Walnut basses). Besides woods, it differs from those two due to the installation of the new Fodera/Trickfish customizable preamp, versus the Fodera/Trickfish standard preamps. It has a maple top, mahogany body, and a 3 piece hard rock maple neck. It plays (and looks) like a dream.
Edit: And a secret thanks to someone who may have cleaned up my photos for edit/repost
Nice
Congrats @booker_t even Victor will be jealous. I’ll see you and this bass next month. ![]()
Really fine looking babies you have there, @booker_t. That new Victor Wooten '83 is a stunning addition to your Fodera harem. Massive congrats, man!

They’re both beautiful. I’m with you on the color of the FGN, that’s right up my alley. Congrats!
I love these things too, I wish they made them consistently year to year. Actually last time I checked Fujigen did have one on their page but it was way more expensive than they used to be.
They do have one up there now, in fact (a nice black/maple one). Also a bunch of the MM/J Mighty Jazz.
Oh hey, it looks like they have a US page like ESP does for their LTD line.
Oh man, congrats @booker_t !
I love, love, love that VW83!
That new '83 Fodera is gorgeous. ![]()
Two awesome looking basses! Congratulations!
