Well, one’s bass will be home in about two hours from now. However, one is in Malta on a job and probably won’t be home before Wednesday.

One will post pictures of one’s new bass when one returns home :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Love Ibanez Basses, it’s those thin necks that keeps me sold on them, so comfortable, I’ve never tried another brand as comfortable.

Is this the one I have seen? It was a good one! Just not the amazing rare find like the other ones

It was still great though and one of my favorite colors if it is the one I remember.

Seriously any other lefties in the house, @PaulD can hook you up. I will of course help as needed.

Yep, that’s the one. It’s been one of my dream basses for a very long time.

it’s relatively rare at home because it’s been discontinued and there’s very few lefties out there.

I’d be more than happy to help. Wonderful people to deal with and I have absolutely zero hesitation in recommending.

There’s no greater recommendation than repeat business. I’ve had four basses from there now and a fifth will follow later this year.

NBD! New Bass Day!

After months of looking at it and watching reviews, I pulled the trigger - the Harley Benton “budget multiscale” MSB-5.

I now own three HB basses- this one, the MB5 (stingray clone 5string) and a fretless.

First impressions of the multiscale- it’s much smaller than I expected! The fanned frets are almost unnoticeable while playing. It feels very comfortable. I can’t wait to play as much of it as I can!

Hi everyone,

My name is Zoran, and I am a returning bass player. Last year, I went to the store to buy a Fender Player Jazz Bass but ended up leaving with a G&L Tribute JB2 bass—it felt like destiny! I had heard of G&L before, but I had no idea about their guitars. So far, I am very satisfied with my choice, and I plan to keep it.

However, the sound of the Fender Precision Bass is still fresh in my mind. Recently, I’ve been watching YouTube videos discussing whether it’s possible to make a Jazz Bass sound similar to a Precision Bass. I found a Boss pedal that claims to help with this, but many bassists say it doesn’t quite match the sound. I would really appreciate any advice on this matter.

P.S. Money isn’t a concern for getting another bass, but I am worried about how it would visually fit in our living room.
Thank you!

A new rug might help tie the room together.

haha ..great idea
btw, I enjoy having bass in my living room because whenever I need to have a longer phone call, I can unplug my bass and play. However, if I buy another bass and move one to a different room, there’s a chance I might end up playing less.

According to Dagan, only the P makes that P sound. G&L also makes a P, but it’s called the LB-100, due to copyright laws.

Lefty in the UK here. There’s very little choice for lefties over here. Also expect to pay about 20% more than the right handed version. Because reasons.

Yeah, that is what I read all around the net

I’m a UK lefty, too. I’ve posted about this sort of thing once or twice before

Here’s one explanation for the ‘reasons’ that I posted in another thread:
