Whoever named this should basically name everything. They know what they’re doing.
Most definitely will do!
lol no on True Lies tho that’s funny too. Honestly I saw the model name was “Sexmachine Noisy” and the very first thing that popped into my mind was “yup that’s a Doris”
Doris looks so cool!!! Fun and kind of cartoonish! Nice find!
And I like how the design of the headstock matches the body!
Its a band ![]()
haha yeah somehow I thought that was even funnier when I found out. I think they did a few different basses for Noisy?
yup
Would still work!
Okay I promise I’ll stop spamming the thread! But this was too funny not to share. This is the same 34” long scale as my other bass having so it feels super comfortable to play, the larger body and headstock makes for extra funny proportions when you’re only 4’11”/150 cm
I love this picture ![]()
Great pic! Now that you’ve posted it, I finally connected the dots, trying to remember what it reminded me of.
La voilà ! Gumby. A great name for your bass!
It’s like a Thunderbird, but with a cutaway. If you saw that color on a swatch it would be boring as hell, but it works really well on a bass. Congrats on the new toy! That thing is rad
The thing looks ridiculous, and the model name is just as ridiculous.
I love it
Oh snap! I didn’t see it before but you’re totally right about the shape.
I’ve always wanted to paint a kitchen that butter yellow color, but I also have a 1940s two tone red and white chrome and formica kitchen table ![]()
In all fairness I’m a Thunderbird fanboy so I spot them everywhere, even places they aren’t ![]()
Yesterday, I bought a second hand Stirling Ray34.
Holy bat smoke, this thing sounds freakin’ amazing!!
Nice. This is a pre 2018 model the original Ray34. Some say, it’s wired in Parallel. I know that the CA model in that era was wired in parallel.
Congrats man. You can’t ignore the amazing Stingray signature sound. It’s ‘effin great.
Well spotted, @Al1885!
There was a catalogue in the (rather tatty) gig bag, which was rather cool. It identifies it as a 2013 Ray34-BK. I rather like the matched body and headstock…
I’ve got to try some of these. They seem to be the sweet spot for Sterling/EBMM
