Show Us Your Basses (Part 2)

Update…had an issue with the neck pickup on the Warlock, so the shop I purchased from offered to credit the original for something else. I decided to go with a Fender Jazz Bass the had. (2017-2018). Had a great feel to it. Looking forward to continuing to learn on it.

Greetings, Meet the Twins.
An ARIA Pro II which is a good beginners Bass. I have put a new tail stock on it which improved the sustain and spent some time setting up the action.
The fella on the right is a Fender JP Precision bass which is new. It has an active preamp and is fun to play. I bought it solely because it’s pretty to look at and fun to play. But truthfully, the ARIA is easier to play and more forgiving.

Much much more than a beginner bass. Pros used these constantly in the 80s and still do. They are very under rated. Enjoy them both!!!

This^^^

Their SB neck through lines are just unbelievably awesome value you can find one as low as $500 made in Japan quality. If/ when I have more time I’ll get one and mod the pickup and preamps.

I’m new here. Here’s my bass

It’s a Yamaha TRBXEW174 and that’s an Ampeg amp I don’t remember the model. I copped it off Guitar Center used but for a great price. I like my setup and I promised myself I’ll buy another bass once I gain a respectable level of musicianship.

Each time I learn a new song I treat myself with a new bass. Lol.

Luckily I can’t play that many songs.

You did great @Shawn_nwahS…. Congratulations on your new gear!!!

That’s a BA110 Ampeg which will make far a great practice amp…. My very first bass was a 174EW Yamaha…. A great bass to start with. Still have mine even though I have converted it to BEAD tuning. Still use it for some of my old classic rock and southern rock tunes…. A great bass at a great price…. Although, it does require a good set up in order to get the best out of it….

Keep on Thumpin’!

How do you like your Boss GT-1B?

I love it, so far only been playing with the pre programmed effects. I had to wait for BOSS to release a patch for Windows 11 which they just did. So now I can connect it to my laptop and really start messing around.

But a few of the pre installed ones perfect for me as is. The others are fun to screw around with.
