Love the shiny frets. That’s a handsome bass. Nice @howard

Yeah me too, Mr Minimalist went HAM

In my defense I am now one fewer instrument than a month ago.

I love those inlays.

Me too! Classic BB. Revstars have them too.

Yep, I like those better than block inlays. Very nice. :sunglasses::+1:

I have always loved my Squier basses, they have served me well and I’m sure they will continue to do so. As someone who only plays at home and occasionally makes a cover video for YouTube I don’t really need anything more than that, right?

Wrong, apparently. I bought a 2018 Fender American Performer P Bass! It came with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders and a Fender Hi Mass bridge, which is what I have on my favorite Squier. It’s perfect, the neck is super smooth and fast and the setup is pretty darn good. I’ll probably put some new strings on it and I’ll be good to go.

Only problem is that I told my wife it would be my Christmas present so it will sit in the case for two months, but I’m still really excited.

Love it. That’s so cool blue. Quarter pounders are super awesome.

Easy peasy. Just put the Squier in the case.

That is a fantastic color combo. Very close to mine (mine was pastel forest blue and not metallic).

Congrats Howard, that’s gorgeous. I bet it sounds awesome too.
Quick questions: Is it possible to remove the plastic explanatory layer over the controls?
How heavy and balanced is it?

Thanks!

Yes, the plastic comes off easily (and is already done).
It is 4.3kg, not so heavy. Balance is perfect.

The 434 and 234 are lighter, the BBP slightly heavier.

Just got this on a trade. Someone wanted my P bass, lol.

Well gang, you didn’t think I was going to come all the way to Japan and not get something, did you?
Here it is Yamaha BBP34 in Moonlight Blue. The lighting in the hotel room is not the greatest for these photos. You really can’t see the translucent effect and the wood grain in these pics.

And let me just say that @howard is not a bad influence. I am my own bad influence.
