Show Us Your Basses (Part 2)

It’s a gorgeous bass and I am more than a little jealous. The last picture is closest to the actual color, yeah. Very pretty translucent blue, bursting to dark blue at the edges.

Was great finally meeting you!

That looks amazing @JerryP !!!
Congrats!!
And yes. He is a bad influence, even from across the globe….

Once again I thank @howard for help and curse him equally as much. My Blue Jeans Yamaha he helped me get when I was in Japan was lonely, so…… it got a friend… Yamaha SBV-J2, one of 100. Damn mint as far as I can tell but haven’t even plugged it in yet. Two rare basses to round out the Yamaha family here, and, fills the “double P” slot in the lineup.

I like that location; bought two there myself now. Staff are very nice (despite the confusion you ran in to with the guy, not sure what was up with that.) I am guessing they don’t get so many short-term visitors in that shop, it’s a bit away from the usual tourist locations.

I did not go to that one for sure, nice find!!!

I have to credit my girlfriend for the find. She emailed several places in Tokyo and Kyoto until she found one in stock. She called the store the day before to confirm that they still had it in stock.

She also spotted a really nice soba-ya on the way out. Thanks again for lunch

Congrats. I love FretNation. Jason is awesome. I bought 3 Warwicks from him in one month that’s how good he is, lol.

Literally the only reason I didn’t buy that exact instrument three weeks ago is I wanted the preamp in the BB734A
