How you liking it?

Loving it. I mentioned to @John_E that I am thinking about putting a set of TI flats, but I do like the brightness of the factory rounds. Otherwise, it sounds great and easy to play.

It’s one of those basses where either rounds or flats sound great, yeah. About to drop new NYXL’s on my 734A. Elixirs are going on my SBV.

It shouldn’t, it’s imitating a plucked note. The guitar is is the sharp transient, and then attenuates towards the Yammy.

It’s all a part of @JerryP’s master plan!

My buddy let me borrow his nice bass and amp setup, but i have been keeping an eye on FB marketplace. I have started practicing with some friends and they have a dedicated band area so i wanted something that was mine that i could leave on site.

Found a guy selling an old Baltimore base for $100. Looks like they go for 150-200 on reverb.

I used it that night for band practice and it worked well, but if i turned the gain up all the way it got a little crazy. I took it home and cracked it open and cleaned it. found a loose wire and resoldered it, which fixed the crazyness on high gain.

Added Red Devil strings, a red strap, and some 6 shooter cylinder dials, and this things is now worth 50% more than when i bought it lol.

I teach myself guitar for about a year. Last week I watched a video by Josh, accidentally, and I enjoyed the way he teaches. Now I have a Bass (for 50€) booked the course and really enjoy the journey and the forum🤘

From the looks of things, I’d guess you’re a gin man.

I just can’t seem to help myself! Just bought an unloved and rather beaten up Schecter Stiletto Custom 4. My mission is to bring it back to life!

I’m more into whiskey  I have to take a pic of the upper part of the shelf:joy:

Its cluttered but traded in the Ibanez for this slick Yamaha with no influence (yea right) from the reviews from @JoshFossgreen on the YouTube site. And you know what…I love it! It’s so awesome to be playing something that just feels so smooth than any beginner instrument! Cheers all and happy holidays to you all! Keep on Rocking \m/
