Very Cool!
Thank you @Shibata. Canāt wait till it gets here.
Thatās badass, Al.
Hey thanks @MikeC P/ double J would offer pretty beefy tone and the pickups is also custom wound over the quarter inch poles. So it would share some of the characteristics of the Seymour Duncan quarter pounder pickups.
Congrats! Very nice looking bass.
If you are out of space, I can hold the Fuego for awhile
Oh thank god you offer, Iāll let you know thanks ,
Btw, if itās not too much to ask, can I also trouble you with the 35th anniversary too,
@Al1885, you said youād send it here so I could take a five for a spin.
What could possibly go wrong?
That would only be fair. You should post the Zelle listings in your area, we could have bass swap every Saturday
Yeah totally, I love the slugger. The only reason I didnāt order it because you did, secretly hoping Iād get to try it one one these days.
Yeah exactly nothing,
As a fixed-income B2B noob, allow me to lower the bar on this topic to limbo level.
My current bass does not even belong to me. Itās on long-term loan from an old friend. He was familiar with my guitar playing ability and suggested I should try bass. Iām not going to over-analyze his kind gesture too much.
This appears to be an old Yamaha RBX170. Thereās no stamp or label anywhere that I can find to confirm that. When I took possession of it and put it in my car, I carefully secured it in a seat with a seatbelt. He laughed and said he wouldnāt care if I secured it to the roof rack with duct tape.
Despite his lack of respect for the poor thing, I have found it to be a great starter bass. The more I play it, the more I appreciate it. After reading Joshās favorable review of the TRBX304, I did some research and see that this economy instrument has some very loyal owners who defend its playability and its build quality.
I dropped it off today at a local shop to have it set up and have new strings put on it. Although I like to drool over articles and reviews about new equipment, Iām pretty good at fighting off GAS Guy, and Iāll probably offer to buy this one from my friend to serve as my first official bass. It deserves more respect than he ever gave it anyhow.
The RBX is a line of great basses. They have a cult following for a reason. Itās nothing to scoff at just because they were inexpensive.
That is just out of this world cool.
The out of this world bass is coming from the other side of the world soon. I called it the cosmic bass, lol.
This one will be the first Ricky-esque bass I own.
Whatās the body wood that imparts part of the tone, @Al1885?
Just a fantastic looking bass.
This bass should have killer sustain because itās made from sustainable wood. I think itās ash
