Nice bass

I love that pickup cover design. It’s radius so it can also act as finger ramps.

Look what showed up at work today?

I love the finish because I love seeing wood grain

What I also love is the nut width. 41mm is like perfect.
What I also like is the pickups, which are split coils

So it’s a P. Or Double P

It weighs under 7 pounds. Lighter than my EHB1005SMS and Mustangs

What is unknown is the neck profile (haven’t played it yet).

It’s not a standard Ibby neck. It’s 41mm at the nut, 64mm at the 24th fret, normal Ibby necks are 60-62mm. And it’s thick. Not Fender thick, more like ESP Thin U thick. But not Ibby thin. I expect I will like it a lot.

The frets are a teensy bit sprouty. I expect this to go away, as the bass came cross country and has been in a cold trailer going across SD and MO for a few days, and I think it will be fine once it acclimates.

Okay, couple of nits

The Nutrik locking jack is a pita.

The finish at the neck joint is not perfect

For a $1600 USD bass I would expect a more refined finish on the neck joint. As it is, I don’t really care. I paid less than a Player series, it doesn’t affect the sound and I plan to have this as my main bass. Time to do B2B workouts from the start

Sunny day sweepin the clouds away…

Congrats @Wombat-metal

Shipped to work! How can you ever get anything done, :joy:

That’s a good looking pickup there for sure.

I had two meetings with the box sitting behind me and not able to open it. I was in Heck I tell you. Heck!

It is, I’m quite excited about it. Here’s the Nordstrand NP4

You can see the DNA.

Not as fancy as a fancy oval Delano Quad! But it will do.

I actually think the pickups we have fit each of our styles perfectly. But I can still be jealous of a quad

Oh nice! They tried to talk me into a 5 string, but I said no, sticking to a 4 until I get good.

Thanks. I think I see what you are talking about. Are you referring to the part that says “Stealth-4”? I think mine only has 1 screw. Either way, makes me feel a little more confident of doing a set-up myself.

Broke the old girl out today. Cleaned her up restrung her and played away.

New bass showed up today.

I’ve spent a couple hours just noodling around on it and I love everything about it.

Here it is with the rest of the family:

I have a Stealth 5. They are great basses, especially for the price.

Congrats. Your new Sire is a real beauty. Love the Roasted Maple neck.

Yes where it says Stealth 4. If you loosen that screw you can probably pivot the plate (for lack of a better term) out of the way. Or you can take it off. It’s there to pretty up the truss hole

This reminds me of the band Warlock.
