Thats pretty cool, how many hours did it take you to make?
Technically 2-3 hours over a few weeks of pondering on parameters then Lignum did the rest, lol. I think itās about 120-150.
Donāt let the hours spent fool you this bass took about 6-7 months to make , lol.
Nice. Itās too small to be a whale, can we call it a dolphin?
āCalf.ā Whales do have babies.
First shark week now this. Itās like school every day but you know, fun.
Discovery channel aināt got nothing on us
Shhhhhhā¦
I do not need another bass, I do not need another bass⦠Well, maybe one more couldnt hurtā¦
Even your terrible photography canāt diminish its beauty. Congrats, @AnotherJosh
That sub-octave bass Nate has is beyond mind-blowing.
Oh, I didnāt buy that. Yet.
This was an early Christmas present though, Stingray Eclipse Sparkle. As you can see, it is clearly not purple
Yeah, buddy. Very nice.
Really cool - congrats!!
Thanks Jakub! Yes, thatās my baby! Hahaha. I like to get my basses exactly how I like themā¦the sound and especially the look. The pickups I feel were the āicing on the cakeā.
Jeez Louise some nice purchases!!!
I wish there was something I wanted to buy, lol.
One thing to remember is that you have to go pretty big for amp/cab to be able to actually reproduce that fundamental tone. Like maybe some 15" speakers can, maybe. What youāre hearing over most other speakers is the harmonics above the fundamental (which still sound cool).
No bass amp/cab most people here will have could, most of those will roll off around 40-50Hz and even low B strings will be mostly harmonics over the fundamental. Even some expensive cabs still roll off around there:
But yeah itās still cool. Not generally practical but cool. I could see it being a very happy-making present for a deep detuning metalhead
You must be color blind. Itās as purple as the rain. Iāll PM you with my address Iāll examine that closer and you can pickup at the SoCal meetup.
Beautiful bass. I looooove the necks on those Cirrus basses
I disagree @howard it would sound just as awesome with the 3w blackstars amp.
You brought a great point, what amp do you need to play something that massively low.
