I sure am jumping around on this 50 song challenge but this is just too much fun to play.

Hey! We finally have a taker for #34!
Really nice @RoyB.
You got ahead of yourself a couple times on the main riff a smidge but otherwise, … excellent!
That’s a really pretty Lakland too!
Is that an ebony fretboard? Mine has one, love it.

I don’t think the cat was impressed though.

BTW, nice rug.
I have the same one in the living room.
Really ties the room together (beat ya all to it!).

Thanks @John_E !

Yes! It feels and looks like a dream.

He rarely is, unfortunately.

But that’s just like, your opinion, man.

Great cover @RoyB , could tell you were having fun! I’m jumping around a little too, jumping right over My Sharona and may never look back.

I’m not quite sure, what’s more pleasing… Your playing to my ears or that bass to my eyes… I love both

(scribbling on GAS list: „something red sunburst with satin finish“)

I believe stingray cherry burst with some fancy AF Sims pickups.

Cross posting this from the ‘Post your Covers’ thread (I had no idea this was one of the songs on the list!)

I was looking at my Kala U Bass hanging on the wall and thought what would that sound like if I played it into my HX Stomp; through an Ampeg B-15 and then added distortion via Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B7K Ultra and a touch of MXR Flanger.

I started playing Bass in Nov 2020. Moises.ai app to remove the original bass line and overdub mine.

Pre Amp - Mic Requisite Y7 mic preamp

Delay - Simple Delay (Line6)

Flanger - MXR Flanger

It’s been a while since I did one from the 50 song collection. Inspired by the @Barney non-traditional U-Bass treatment, I decided to try it fretless. I hope you enjoy, thanks for listening!
