Speaking of pet pictures

Sorry to hear at @EddieJones!

Here is my girl Tiffany, she is 9 years old and I have trained her to do some tricks last year. She sits, high-fives, turns, stands up, “lay down”, jump over a stick. She is my absolute best friend. I came close to losing her last spring. She was sick but she recovered. She is very clingy.

We also have backyard chickens. One could say they aren’t pets… but they don’t lay much so basically, they are. My boyfriend is the best chicken dad (my cat is not impressed). We have 8, including one (not a…) rooster, that we had hatch and decided to keep despite the law (saying no rooster and maximum 4 chickens). He crows a lot, but the neighbours are still more noisy with their dirt bikes and lawn mowers… They are Cochin Bantam (6/8) and the ginger one was supposed to die last year and with daily care, she is happy and fun.

I am so sorry for your loss! These beings are so important and dear to us, and they love us so much.

I wish you a healthy grief.

My cat is this 100% too…quite a common trait in the various siamese/oriental breeds I think…very different than the stereotypical aloof and distance cat image

Yeah, she was siamese in the States and turned Oriental once in Canada. Very vocal, very purry, very present! Have you posted your cat earlier? I haven’t checked all the previous posts.

I recently adopted two kittens (now 11 months old). This is Brubeck, carrying a chew toy:

And this is Danielle. She has chosen the bass as well:

They like to look out the patio door together. Though they seem peaceful here, Danielle actually just plopped down directly in front of (and slightly on top of) Brubeck, stealing most of the view (thatta girl):

Somehow, Harry lost to the toy.

My dwarf frogs live near where I practice with a mini amp/speaker setup. They “sing” to each other at night, but always seem to come out and watch me play.

Cats seem to like the low end. Maybe they think we are purring :smiley_cat:

Our dog insists on standing guard for you while you’re on the toilet. You know, in case anything comes for you while you’re… indisposed. She is super serious about it. It’s adorable.

I have been meaning to post pet pictures for a while. I finally gathered pictures of our 5 cats and 3 dogs.

Here is Piano climbing out of the window of my little home studio:

Sir Duke:

Jett:

(My wife rescued Jett from an intersection of a highway. The poor little kitty was crying out with a split open chin. He is doing much better.)

Synthia:

(Synthia is partially or mostly deaf. She can feel low frequencies and did react to some very high frequencies that I played using a synthesizer.)

Purrsimmon:

Zooey approving of my fretless and fretted Jazz Basses:

Trixie, Hazel, and Zooey:

Zooey, Trixie, and me posing for an unreleased album cover:

One more for now, a more recent photo of Trixie:
