I love Monkey!
Love the French Bulldog how much do they shed?
Slightly different breed but you did mention shedding. My God, my Great Pyrenees sheds mounds of hair. I was woefully unprepared. I have hair in my teeth , all on my clothes and in every nook and cranny in my house, except for the room I keep my bass related equipment in. It is closed off to anyone but me. Back to asking how much the Frenchie sheds. Sorry, just had to relate my tale of shedding.
We had a Shetland sheepdog and my, my that puppy has double coat the first time I gave her a bath I use the normal amount of shampoo as I would with my Lhasa and boy what a mistake that was. It took 30 minutes to rinse off all of the bubbles and about 90 minutes to dry her. lol.
Everything we own were covered in dog hair, lol.
GPās have that type coat. Everything has hair on it right now. But he is such a big old baby, I wouldnāt want it any other way.
My wife loves the Tibetan mastiff I said I donāt mind the feeding but thereās no way Iām picking up after them, lol.
They donāt shed much, compared to pugs for example. You wonāt recognize me from my clothes as a dog dad . But their fur is like small needles sticking in my couch so hoovering take some time.
Iāve saw in the previous posts you own some beautiful Yorkshire, compared to them monkey shed a lotā¦
Monkey was love on the first sight. A grumpy, one ear, cross-eyed puppy
They are Biewer Terriers actually. Itās an AKC recognized breed from your neck of the wood, Country or origin Germany, . To be fair Dr Biewer was a champion Yorky breeder.
They call them here Biewer Yorkshire Terrier. At last thatās the answer Iāve got as I asked an owner. I like both, the Yorkshire and the Biewer. When Chu (13) will go, we thought already about one as companion for Monkey. I hope this day will never comeā¦
update
So a few of you will know from another thread, but we lost Posie (working cocker) later last year (2023) after a long battle with a condition that should have been harmless but affected her badly. It was one of the hardest days of my life to take her to the vet for the final time - she had been a near-constant companion for over 13 years and has changed our lives in more ways that we can count.
Everybody who has lost a dog (or any pet) knows the loss, but we have to remember that the pain is the price we pay for all the joy they share with us. The bill comes due. Life goes on.
Jack has come into his own since Posie left, and he is now a confident & compassionate lump of fluff who likes nothing more than meeting our Airbnb guests - and especially their dogs. Here are a couple of pics of him with our current guests, Django! Yup, named after the guitarist.
P.S. My wife texted me a photo yesterday: a 2 year old female working cocker who is looking for a home. We both agreed that our hearts said āyesā in under a beat, but our heads said ānoā for so many good reasons. Sheās a gorgeous little girl and wonāt be looking for a home for long so weāll let fate find her the right place for her. If I hadnāt been driving when the message came in I might have texted right backā¦
Oh, cool! My daughter named her dog Django too.
Sorry for your loss Pete. Iāve been through it enough times itās part of the reason I donāt have a dog now. Itās okay though. My kids have four dogs between them that I have spent a lot of time with.
Aww man, really sorry for your loss here. Losing pets is awful. They are family.
Sorry about that @PeteP we had to put down our Husky in November.
One of the toughest days Iāve had to date and Iām including a mandatory course I was forced to attend years ago on empathy / compassion in the workplace in those days.
Isnāt that a Flurken?
Beautiful!
That is either one big puppy or one small Wookie!
OMG! My favorite Irish WolfHound?
