I can barely handle having a wife, I can’t imagine adding kids to the mix. Plus puppies are cuter.

My wife is just 1” shorter than me (I think that’s 2.5 euro cm), which would compound the problem.

I’ve been doing a bit of research and can’t find one of these anywhere. I’ve written to my friends at the leftie specialist in Tokyo, and they replied overnight saying they’ve never seen one in a leftie. I’ve asked if they know of a local specialist like T.S Factory would make one as a custom build.
I know, I know, it would be way cheaper to modify an existing lefty bass but I don’t want to go down that road. I’ve found some websites (like Ta*k Bass) where some are saying don’t put a pick up here, don’t put one there, and I don’t have the experience to know if they’re correct or talking out of their derrière. Aside from that, to my simple mind it must be a bit like messing with cars; if you increase engine power, then the brakes, suspension, tyres, etc., might need to be uprated accordingly. I’m going to investigate a custom build so it’s built as intended from the get go. If it’s not cost prohibitive, then I’ll give it some serious consideration.

Makes sense. Double-P’s sound kind of like a much stronger version of a J-bass. Similar tonal characteristics with a fuller, punchier timbre. At least mine did.

Sticking with a 12/6 config? or pull an Ibanez and make a 4/6 version for us bassists? 
I think, push the boat out and go to a 12 string guitar and 8 string bass.

It’s just a hobby (the T-shirt says ‘it’s not an addiction, it’s a hobby’) but it is a bit out of hand, as I am drawing out project 36 at the moment. Left handed guitar for a friend. Stratocaster electronics, classical guitar headstock.
