Now that we have a nice clear scan of your fingerprint we can all gain access to your Bass Bunker
Yeah for sure, I wiped it down first too with the wet nap still pretty awful. Maybe dip it in to my ultrasonic cleaner for a few cycles.
That you’d also need a retina scan, why do you think I never look directly at the camera on my covers,
Your hand?? Ah hahaha…
…DON’T
And yet I also live here:
Its true though, more people live within 50km of me than live in Canada. And I dig that; I was raised in Oregon and surrounded by nature growing up. Now I like cities.
(I actually bet you’ve rafted some of the same rivers I did growing up, @Barney )
It’s easy to get caught up in day to day life and forget these things, but I try and remember to think about this a lot
I would wonder what material the strings are made of too.
It all makes sense now, @Al1885 wears the One Ring, the Ring of Power, forged by Sauron himself in the fires of Mount Doom during the Second Age.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all, and with the E string bind them!
That’s why, to Al, each bass in his harem is His Precious.
I did say that sometime when I switched bass. Playing a few jazz basses and P basss then I grabbed this and just oooh! Precious!
I know exactly what you mean.
It happens to me every time. Cutlass with TI Jazz Flats.
I have to say, I really dig the look of split-coil pickups with two big poles per pickup instead of four smaller ones.
I searched for a P-style bass without a wide nut and chunky neck. Even as a reformed Fender owner, I still gave that brand a shot, and there were a couple of contenders. But I viscerally don’t like Fenders (no offense to those who do). And, yeah, I know Japanese “Fenders” are actually FGN, and I came this close to pulling the trigger on one. But I’m really glad I didn’t.
I give @Al1885 full credit for turning me on to the EBMM Cutlass. While its 40.3mm nut is just barely wider than my all-time fave 38mm pref, its neck must be played to be appreciated: it has a modern C profile and smooth finish that are addictive. And the rest of the build and materials scream quality. At 8.5lbs on the dot, it’s a joy to play. Leo called it a Modern Classic. I gotta agree.
You know where it was.
In my…soul.
Kinda funny, @MikeC, we’re opposites. I used to really dislike Fender until… well, recently. After starting BassBuzz, when I first saw a Dimension and thought, “wow, that’s cool”. I’m still not a P-bass fan, but I really like the Fender Jazz.
It sounds like you liked Fender at one point, and now no longer do.
I owned a 1974 Fender Jazz. It was heavy and played clunky in my hands. I’ve since tried out countless Fenders. None of them did it for me.
Like I said, no offense intended or implied to Fender fans. Just my personal experience. I prefer other bass brands/models.
No offense taken at all. I used to hate 'em too.
@Barney, I don’t like your creepy, sicko dark side.
the last used bass i bought on reverb was the spector. in the pix they showed a small blem on the back and some fret wear. i can’t find either on the bass they sent me, and i am pretty convinced it is an entirely different bass than the one they took a picture of. i’m also fairly convinced that it’s new. either that or they really buffed and polished out all the blemishes. so YMMV.
I have a Yamaha, Ibanez & Scheter in my bass collection all of which were under $800 new & never had the inclining to get a Fender bass. I guess that is a good thing.
