What are you sipping?

Wrong answer. You should chase a nice single malt with another nice single malt

I had a bottle of Lavagulin. The smoke from it still lingers…several years later.

Gave up alcohol altogether about a year ago or so. So the only thing I’m sipping these days is likely to be an espresso.

Back in the day though, we had this sweet whisk(e)y club at the office. It wasn’t an everyday thing, but we’d try to get together about every month or so after the workday.

Sake is my happy place, I have a sub box from Tippsy Sake so I get selection every quarter which always makes for some interesting finds.

Otherwise a good Zinfandel or a Argentinian Malbec hits the spot.

Never did get the taste for neat whisky but love it in my coffee. Then it’s Jameson’s.

When I’m sick it’s a rum, honey, and lemon hot toddy. I wouldn’t know good rum if it smacked me so it’s usually a bottle of Capt Morgan lurking in the pantry.

I also adore Port, but no one in the swamps of Louisiana appears to know of its existence and I can never find any.

I love Tawny Port, the more aged the better. Rum, not much.

Whisky/Whiskey neat is a great fit for me, bourbon or non- is fine.

How much does this cost? I’m sake curious but the selection around here sucks unless you go to the fancy sushi or Japanese restaurants.

It’s customizable, you choose from a 3 or 6 bottle sub, delivery from 1-3 months, and then you set a price range per bottle. Starts at $20 and goes up to $200. Then they will pick depending on your quiz choices bottles that fit that. You get an email prior to shipping where you can eyeball the selection and switch things out if you want.

Being in the club also gets you 5% across the store and 20% of normal shipping. (buying 6 bottles at a time always nets you free shipping.)

They have about 400 different Sake’s so there plenty of choice. Hit me up on discord if you want a referral link for 10% off a standard order.

Currently McClellands Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey. Not expensive, but I like the taste. Couple of fingers before bed!

I’m kinda sad nobody’s caught this… Once you see it, you can’t unsee it… It’s a very clever label.

It is a clever label. :+1:

But I’m neither much of a sake drinker nor a Japanophile in general, so the label joke blew right past me.
