I can play a ton of different riffs but have only managed to complete a handful of songs start to finish:

Lazy Eye, Silversun Pickups (straight chugging, only 4 notes in the whole song)
Three Seed, Silversun Pickups (LOVE this one, very easy)
Killing In The Name Of, Rage Against the Machine
Currently trying to play This Charming Man, The Smiths. A lot of mutes/ghost notes in this one which is giving me a good challenge and I love the groove!
Edit: forgot another easy one, Pumped Up Kicks, Foster the People. Sometimes it’s nice to jam to the easy ones just to build confidence

My current song is Brown Sugar - ZZ Top. Ooohh mmaaann there’s a little slide in there thats tripping me up but other than that I love learning it. Can’t sit down to learn this one either, this song makes you want to play standing up so you can really get into it.

Been played prolly around 400 to 500 covers. From punk to trashmetal, from pop to allmost classical music.
Now im giving 75% of my time to our band i joined recently. It’s a “Finnish rock” or as we say “suomrock”. Ill link it here in a bit.
It’s great way to learn and enjoy playing while doing covers. Personalla i love to learn some song i enjoy to listen. But give yourself a chance to create something too. And dont be a nitpickers, enjoy the whole road

I’m currently working on Folsom Prison Blues for the 50 songs challenge.
My favourite version is from the Folsom Prison Live album, but I’ve decided to go for the version on the Hall of Fame album from 1988. It’s such a groove. Hoping to get it sorted for either Christmas or Boxing Day.
