I think some covers can really bring new life into a song. What are your favorite cover songs? I’m looking for ones that mixed it up, not just played the original. Here are my top 3:
Hayley Reinhart and PMJs incredibly powerful rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep”

Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged cover of Lead Belly’s “Where did you sleep last night”. Has quite the crescendo in it.

And last but not least, Johnny Cash’s cover of Nine Inch Nails “Hurt”. Just a masterpiece.

I don’t like Nirvana but the original song from Leadbelly is great (and I have the original vynil record). I don’t like Johnny Cash but the original song from Nine Inch Nails is great.
I like this one :
and I even did a coverception based on this version

Not a fan of that one (and Disturbed in general).
I prefer covers that add something different to the original… A bit like this one

He didn’t change it from the original, but Jaco took Charlie Parker’s Donna Lee and turned it into a bass solo.

Actually never heard that one, don’t really like Laibach covers that much in general. This one is really good and chill:
