There is an easy way to change the colour of the pickguard: use 3M 2080 wrap film.
You can get samples in A4/Letter format for about 4€. If you want to go for white, a really great colour is satin pearl white. But there are 100s of colours to choose from - even unicorn barf
Application is easy: put the wrap film on the pickguard, leave about 5mm over the edge. Heat with a hairdryer and gently remove all bubles by swiping over the pickguard with a cloth. Heat the edges and wrap over the back side by pulling and stretching, so there are no irregularities.
Voilá - you’re done!
It takes 10-15 minutes to do, will look perfect , is very durable … and you can change it back without any residue or to anything else you like!
Note: in the beginning it might be a good idea to order two A4 sheets, as you need to get a “feel” for the material…
