Hey Everyone! Marlon here from Canada!

I played bass in my high school jazz band many moons ago. I learned mostly from a book and sheet music well enough to carry our jazz band through performances. Besides being able to read sheet music from my days as a trombone player, I only have the most basic bass skills and knowledge.

After a long hiatus, I picked up a Cort Action 5 string bass a few years ago, I’ve been putting off lessons because of life. I’m so excited that I stumbled on BassBuzz! Learning on my own time and pace is a game changer.

I’m looking forward to sharing my progress in the near future!

Hi, my name is Benton. My friends call me benny or bennysax, Because I played the saxophone for over thirty years. I’m currently not playing the sax now. But I always wanted to learn bass. I took about a year of college in music and then stopped. I’ve played with cover bands a lot on saxophone. So far, the base lessons have been great. Been staying consistent with lessons, and it’s going great. I do read music so learning. The tabs was a good thing for me. So far, i’m very impressed with the lessons. I can’t wait to start playing all of the bass rifts that I can sing in my head note for note.

Hi everyone! It’s official I finally worked up the courage to plug in the bass(ibanez mikro) I bought this summer.

I am a 48yr old beginner. I played the snare drum in school what feels like a million years ago. I have no idea how far along I’ll get but the first step has happened. Now to cut my nails down short as I had no idea they would make such a weird noise when playing. Just waiting for the email to the beginner lessons to see if I can make it through them. :upside_down_face:
