Many thanks @mediaklan ! I appreciate the kind words.
Fantastic @JustTim !
You’re a very good player, time to challenge yourself on something more complex. You’ve got the stuff!
Damn @Ed your left hand makes my hand want to cramp up in that one, lol! Terrific playing I don’t do well with super fast riffs but you did great. Agree it’s super hard not to rush these fast riffs.
Well done.
Sounds great @Ant !
Ps. It’s not cheating. I’ve started learning the ends of tunes first cause otherwise they get the least amount of reps in and it’s where thing generally go haywire.
Fantastic @JerryP
Another winner from your “hotel sessions” series. I’m hotel bound as well and was going to try and get one out but I’m also sick (always fun when traveling) so not sure.
Great timing and tone here on this fun song.
No. There’s no such thing as cheating in music production. It’s not a contest! The end product is all that matters.
In fact the more you can “cheat” to get a better sound, the more I will respect your workflow
Thanks John! My own transcription, not 100% note for note, but passable I think. Tone was easy; Squire direct connect into Reaper, no amp sim just CLA-76 compressor.
Thanks, John, that’s quite a compliment given the source.
Agreed. I’m looking at Thin Lizzy’s The Boys are Back in Town.
my (slightly iffy) version of Blink 182 - The Rock show

I keep looking at that and saying “ i should put on my big boy pants and learn this”, then play something else.
Nice one @DeadPixels ! Enjoyed it.
I thought it sounded great.
Heard a flew minor flubs that I would never notice if not being critical.
Well done
Can’t go wrong with Blink, always fun to play
Cheers
I definitely noticed
Not as bad as my still unposted Guns n Roses attempts though
Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way (1977) from the superlative album Rumours. This is now my 6th cover from this record.
For the verse McVie pedals on the root note. So far, so straightforward. But the genius of the chorus bass line is that he follows the chord progression by creating a little melody and walking down to each change. Magic and lots of fun to play.
I started playing Bass in Nov 2020. I used the Moises.ai app to remove the original bass line by John McVie and overdub mine.

Probably my overall favorite track on the album, or tied with Dreams. Great cover.
Only possible criticism I would have of this one: Timing seems a little off at the start but is sounding like it is spot on in the bulk of the song. Or it could be that the kick has been weakened too much by removing the bassline and it’s hard to tell. Regardless, it’s still a solid cover.

Nice job Barney. That sounds like a lot of fun to play.
Nice work on that one, Barney!
