Here’s my submission for song 3. Per suggestions from others, this time just using bass-less backing tracks and myself. Slightly off at parts, but overall I’m satisfied to move on to song 4 (I’m determined to make it through all of them, even songs I dislike, in order ).

Enjoy, and as always feedback welcome.

Great job @brik1970
Sounds and feels good to me!!!

Please also post in the Post your Covers thread, not everyone comes over here and this way it gets counted in the annual totals.

Thanks folks, appreciate the feedback.

Just to be clear, all 50 song challenge posts should go both in the appropriate thread in this sub-forum as well as the Post your Covers thread?

I’m not sure what you mean by the “annual totals”?

Correct.

Terb tallies and lists each years covers but only monitors the Post Your Covers Thread.

Thank you for the clarification, should I post the first 3 of the 50 song challenge that I’ve done to the Post your Covers thread?

Please do if they were done this year.

Not perfect, and the audio mix is to low. But I move on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaYsLj9MTyU&t

Yay three down - only 47 to go!

Good song this one - hard to believe it came out nearly 20 years ago!

Did you know it was sampled from this cowboy theme?

Great cover dude! Thanks for sharing some music history knowledge as well. That trumpet in the original is pretty dope.

Keep it up!

Well done @Ed
I hear some inconsistent plucking (nothing a compressor can’t solve for, or more exacting playing) but elsewise - great great job.

I believe someone had pointed out the sample prior somewhere around here.

Yes @Ed
