What are you listening to right now?

Love this one, it’s just so upbeat for them

Alain Jourgensen helped produce this one and you can kind of hear it. It’s a bit unlike other Puppy.

Got it here: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/

I removed the tempo automations, as some people complained about that.

The source is a PSARC that is usually used for Rocksmith 2014. It also contains the original audio and is synched.

I used Tonelib Jam to extract the GP5 and Guitar Pro to remove tempo automations and create the PDF.

Using Tonelib Jam with the oroginal PSARC is much more fun, of course…

The tab/notation for the verse in there looks kind of odd. Not saying it’s wrong, dunno the song, but I would check it to make sure.

This is also the only place I have seen it given a BPM of 200 (everywhere else it’s 174).

It’s cause I removed tempo automations. Without removing it, this is the result (goes to 175bpm … and should be better):

I wanted to avoid remarks about the changing tempo - you know how it is

Ahh… nothing like a new morning in BassBuzz to send me through another rabbit hole!

also WTF is up with that tuning it thinks is being used - make sure to adjust for that

I strongly doubt that is the actual tuning, and this would affect the tab a lot.

Well, some - more knowledgeable - people have strong complaints about those tabs (see above).

I happily use them … a lot. But I’m just a beginner of course, and they are sufficient for noodling along

My advise: download the PSARC (use the _p version, not xbox or playstation) and try with ToneLib Jam (it’s free to try).

Please comment here how you like it!

Already bookmarked everything… today impossible for me to pick it up… have tons of stuff to do!

Look, I really appreciate what you trying to do with these, it’s a cool thing you want to provide and a great instinct to help people out.

But the fact is that many of these have serious issues, or are just… weird in some way. And as a learner this method might also lead you astray as well

It’s too late for me. I started using those and could not stop - it brings me so much joy! If playing along ToneLib Jam is wrong, I don’t wanna be right

Should I seek professional help? ^^

Here’s an actual tab for this song. It’s simply in Drop A on a 5 string. So that tuning is somewhat accurate but only for a BEAD bass drop tuned to A.

There are differences as well - the verse, however, looks pretty similar. It got that part right

Nothing like metal, but have you ever heard Jaz Colman’s Doors Concerto? Arrangements of Doors tracks for full orchestra with Nigel Kennedy on violin.

As a confirmed lover of the Doors and a lover of classical I couldn’t really fail to love this album!

More proof Bill Leeb is a genius.

No need to prove cEvin Key is a genius

What a cool dad.

Babymetal does not use standard tunings on bass. They are usually in A for the low string for the albums
